Tournament Format, Rules & Registration Policy

Tournament Format

• Divisions: Separate tournaments for Boys & Girls (U9-U14)

• Participants: 12-15 players per tournament

• Match Format: 1v1

• Game Duration: 6-minute matches (3-minute halves)

• Group Stage:

o Players will be divided into groups (based on the number of participants).

o Round-robin format—each player competes in multiple matches.

o Points system: Win = 3 points | Draw = 1 point | Loss = 0 points

o Top players from each group advance to the knockout rounds.

• Knockout Rounds:

o Quarterfinals → Semifinals → Final

o Single elimination (winner moves on, loser is eliminated).

o No 3rd place match.

Tournament Rules

1. Game Rules:

o Standard 1v1 format—no goalkeepers.

o Players start each half with possession at midfield.

o Not out of bound on the walls, only when is past the Goal lines , possession is

given to the opponent (kick-in, no throw-ins).

o No sliding tackles allowed.

o Fouls result in an indirect free kick from the spot of the foul.

2. Scoring & Tie-Breakers:

o The player with the most goals at the end of regulation wins.

o If tied in group play, the match ends in a draw.

o If tied in knockout rounds, a Golden Goal (sudden death) will determine the

winner.

3. Player Conduct:

o Unsportsmanlike behavior, excessive fouling, or disrespect towards referees,

players, or staff will result in disqualification.

o All decisions by the tournament officials are final.

Registration Policy

• Registration Fee: $100 per player (non-refundable unless the tournament is canceled).

• How to Register:

o In-Store: Sign up at Soccer Post using a provided QR code.

o Online: Register via the Khaos Academy website.

• What’s Included: Tournament entry, a minimum of 5 games, and eligibility for prizes.

• Jersey Discount: Players can receive 20% off a tournament jersey if they include both

the Khaos Academy and Soccer Post logos.

• Cancellation Policy: If a player withdraws, no refunds will be given. If the tournament is

canceled due to unforeseen circumstances, participants will receive a full refund or credit

for a future event.
